In the morning, we will embark on a day tour to Alexandria, a three-hour drive from Cairo. As the second largest city in Egypt, Alexandria has a Mediterranean atmosphere and is famous for its stunning Roman ruins. Founded by Alexander the Great in 332 BC, it was once the capital of Greco-Roman Egypt. We will have the opportunity to explore its historical landmarks.
We will embark on a comprehensive tour of Alexandria’s important sites, including the Library of Alexandria, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, and Fort Qaitbay, which was home to the legendary Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. As we explore these magnificent sites, we will be transported back in time, immersed in the rich history and culture of this city.
