Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

"Bright Star Tours", "we", "us" — Bright Star Tours, a licensed Egyptian tour operator, 18 Nazeh Khalifa St, Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt. "You" — the person making the booking and every traveler included in it. "Services" — tours, excursions, multi-day programs, Nile cruises, transfers, and any custom itinerary we arrange for you. "Confirmation" — our written acceptance of your booking by email or WhatsApp.

2. Bookings & Confirmation

All bookings are requests until confirmed in writing. On confirmation we send a booking reference, the agreed itinerary and your personal quote. Please check the confirmation carefully and tell us immediately if anything is incorrect. The person making the booking confirms they are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of the whole party.

3. Quotes & Payment

Prices are quoted individually for each request and remain valid for the period stated on the quote. Payment terms (including any deposit, balance dates and accepted methods) are agreed in writing at the time of confirmation. No payment is collected through this website. Quotes are based on the party size, dates and services stated — changes to any of these may change the quote.

4. Changes by You

Tell us as early as possible if you want to change dates, party size or itinerary. We accommodate changes wherever suppliers allow; where a change increases supplier costs, the difference is payable by you. Name corrections for flights and cruises follow the carrier's rules.

5. Cancellation by You

Day tours and excursions may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start time unless your confirmation states otherwise. Multi-day programs, Nile cruises and custom itineraries follow the cancellation terms stated on your confirmation, which reflect the conditions of the hotels, vessels and carriers involved. No-shows are charged in full. We recommend cancelling in writing (WhatsApp or email) so the time of cancellation is documented.

6. Changes & Cancellation by Us

Itineraries may be adjusted for weather, water levels, site closures, security directives or other operational reasons. Where a visit cannot take place and no comparable substitute is possible, the affected portion is refunded. If we must cancel a confirmed service entirely, you receive a full refund of any amounts paid for that service. We are not responsible for costs you incur that are not part of the booking (for example independently booked flights).

7. Travel Documents, Visas & Insurance

You are responsible for holding a valid passport (generally 6 months beyond your stay), appropriate visas and any required health documentation. Our visa-assistance service is advisory; the decision rests with the Egyptian authorities. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, cancellation, curtailment and baggage for every traveler.

8. Health, Mobility & Minors

Tell us about mobility limitations, medical conditions, pregnancy or dietary requirements when booking so we can plan accordingly — many ancient sites involve uneven ground, steps and heat. Children are welcome on family-suitable services; travelers under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and child seats for transfers are provided free on request.

9. Conduct

You must follow the reasonable instructions of guides, drivers and crew, and the rules of visited sites. We may decline to carry any traveler whose behaviour endangers themselves or others or seriously disrupts a group, without refund of the affected portion.

10. Photography

Our teams occasionally photograph tours for our gallery and social channels. Tell your guide if you prefer not to appear — we will always respect it. Photography rules inside museums and tombs are set by the authorities and may involve separate camera tickets.

11. Liability

We act with reasonable skill and care in operating and arranging travel services and are responsible for our employees and subcontracted suppliers acting in the course of their duties. We are not liable for events amounting to force majeure — including extreme weather, epidemics, strikes, governmental action or other events beyond our control — or for losses arising from information you provide being incomplete or inaccurate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Complaints

If something is not right during your trip, contact us immediately on WhatsApp or by phone so we can fix it on the spot — most issues are solved within the hour. Unresolved complaints should be sent in writing within 28 days of the end of the service and will be answered within 14 days.

13. Law & Severability

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Cairo courts. If any clause is found invalid, the remainder stays in force. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
