Tours are the headline, but we run the whole trip: stays, sails, seats and stamps.
An operator, not a marketplace
The guide who meets you works for us. The vehicle that collects you is ours. The person answering WhatsApp at midnight sits in our Heliopolis, Cairo office.
- Licensed Egyptologists. Every guide holds a Ministry guiding license, in your language.
- Honest quotes. The price we quote is the price at pickup. No park-fee surprises.
- Free cancellation. Plans change; cancel free up to 24 hours before any day tour.
- Real hotel pickup. Confirmed the evening before, with your driver's name.

Best day of our holidayTwo reef stops full of fish, and Orange Bay looks photoshopped in the best way. Lunch on board was genuinely good. Crew were stars.
Our whole week ran through themAirport transfer, three tours and a visa question at midnight — every WhatsApp answered in minutes. This is how an operator should work.
The day Egypt became realOur guide Mahmoud brought the plateau to life — we had the panoramic viewpoint almost to ourselves at 8:30. The GEM is astonishing. Flawless organisation from pickup to drop-off.
Ras Mohammed is another planetVisibility 25m+, walls of coral, and the White Island sandbar is surreal. Well-run boat, good lunch.
The tombs are overwhelmingRamses IV's colours look painted yesterday. Our guide chose the perfect three tombs and knew when to let the silence work.
I cried in my snorkelA pod of maybe forty dolphins circled us twice. The guides were strict about distance and calm entries — exactly how it should be done.
Before you ask
The questions every traveler to Egypt has, answered straight, by people who live here.
Ask something elseDo I need a visa to visit Egypt?
Most nationalities need a visa. Citizens of the US, UK, EU and many other countries can buy a 30-day single-entry e-Visa online or a visa on arrival at Egyptian airports. Staying only in Sinai resorts like Sharm El Sheikh for under 15 days? A free Sinai stamp may be enough. Our visa service checks your documents and files the application for you.
Is Egypt safe for tourists?
Tourist areas · the Red Sea resorts, Cairo, Luxor and Aswan · are heavily protected and see millions of visitors each year. Tourism police are present at every major site. Like anywhere, use normal city awareness in crowds. All Bright Star vehicles carry tourism plates and licensed drivers, and our tours follow Ministry-approved routes.
What currency should I bring?
The Egyptian pound (EGP) is the local currency, but US dollars and euros are accepted for tours and tipping. Card payment is available at pickup on most of our tours. ATMs are everywhere in tourist areas; small EGP notes are useful for bazaars and tips.
When is the best time to visit Egypt?
October to April brings warm days (20–28°C) ideal for temples and desert trips. Summer (May–September) is hot inland but perfect on the Red Sea coast, where sea breezes keep resorts comfortable and the water is warmest. Nile cruises run year-round; balloon flights are most reliable October–May.
How do tour pickups work?
Every day tour includes hotel pickup. After booking you receive a WhatsApp confirmation with your pickup window; the evening before, we confirm the exact time and your driver's name. Your guide or driver meets you in the hotel lobby holding a Bright Star sign.
Can I pay in cash on the day?
Yes. Reserve online for free · no deposit, no card details · and pay in cash (USD, EUR or EGP) or by card when we pick you up. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the tour.
